Mrs. Harrington provides Parenting Facilitation both in-person and by Zoom. Parent Facilitation services are available in person in Tarrant County, Texas and by Zoom state-wide. Parenting Facilitation allows for high-conflict co-parents to address issues and frustrations collaboratively in a structured setting. Please see the Parenting Facilitation tab for more info.
Parent Facilitation is NOT confidential and Mrs. Harrington may be called to testify in court.
Attorney Harrington offers half-day and full-day mediations for family law cases. Mediation allows for the parties to come to a binding Mediated Settlement Agreement that works for their specific needs. Mediation can be conducted either with attorneys representing the parties or with self-represented litigants. Mediation is available in person in Tarrant County, Texas and by Zoom state-wide
Mediation is offered in-person, by Zoom, or a hybrid of the two.
Attorney Harrington offers services as an amicus attorney, or ”friend of the court.” The role of the Amicus Attorney is to investigate the best interest of the child for the court. Amicus attorneys are typically utilized in adoptions as well as contested custody cases. Amicus Attorney services are available for the following counties: Tarrant, Parker, Wise, Hood, Johnson, Ellis, Denton, Dallas, Collin, and Hunt.
Attorney Harrington offers services as an Attorney Ad Litem After Publication to locate a missing party to the case. Our office will attempt to locate or establish a reliable means of communication with the missing party.

Attorney Harrington accepts court appointments to represent children that are in the temporary conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Through her role as both attorney ad litem and guardian ad litem, attorney Harrington advocates for both the child's desired outcome and the objective best interest of the child. Attorney Harrington is a private attorney who accepts court appointments and is not affiliated with or compensated by DFPS.
Attorney Harrington accepts court appointments to represent indigent parents who are parties to cases filed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Attorney Harrington advocates for the parent she is appointed to represent. Attorney Harrington is a private attorney who accepts court appointments and is not affiliated with or compensated by DFPS.
Attorney Kayla E. Harrington is a proud Aggie and graduate of the Texas A&M School of Law (Whoop!). Mrs. Harrington prides herself on providing accessible solutions for families involved in family litigation. Her scope of practice includes mediation, parenting facilitation, amicus attorney services, as well as accepting child welfare court appointments. Mrs. Harrington utilizes a solution-focused model and TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention) in her practice.
When Mrs. Harrington is not in the office, she is either hiking, horseback riding, or traveling to her favorite cities, Toronto, New Orleans, Atlanta, and Washington D.C.
